We are Colorado’s Most Refreshing Gym and we are looking for the newest member of our team!

Standard Requirements for any Role:

Everything you do should be designed with the member's end goal in mind. Respect and
understanding of their time, circumstances and lifestyle is key.
● Start any commitment / appointment etc. on time, finish on time
● Treat everyone with the same empathy, respect and kindness that you would like
someone to treat your mother
● Create relationships with staff / members that will allow them to feel safe being
vulnerable
● Smile and be inviting, courteous and fun. See someone new? Introduce yourself
● Communicate with members if they miss an appointment. Ask them how you can help
them get to the next one

Personal Training - High Level Responsibilities

Know Your Client

Consistently develop the relationship with our clients. Ensure you know what they need to
achieve their goals, what roadblocks they will encounter, and help them navigate those
road-blocks. Be their health and fitness mentor & confidant to them whether they are inside or
outside of the gym walls.

Technical

● Schedule sessions based on convenience for your and their schedules
● Develop programming designed for their level and their goals
● Adjust programming as they progress
● Adjust programming on the fly based on their current energy and stress level at the start
of the session
● Ensure their music preference is on at a low volume prior to their session start time
● Greet them at the door
● Start them on time
● Briefly summarize the work you both will be doing today and how it will help them
achieve their goals
● During the warm up, connect with them personally
● Take at least 1 or 2 quality pictures in every session - following our Social Media
guidelines
● Encourage them to log their results in SugarWOD or TrueCoach and explain the
importance of tracking their progress
● Clean up equipment for them after the session is complete

Group Training - High Level Responsibilities

Know Your Members

Consistently develop relationships with our members. Ensure you know what they need to
achieve their goals, what roadblocks they will encounter, and help them navigate those
road-blocks. Be their health and fitness mentor to them whether they are inside or outside of
the gym walls.

Technical

● Ensure you are aware of any scaling needs of everyone who is registered for your class
● Safety and technique are key. If push ups are programmed and someone can’t do a
strict push up, be prepared to modify
● Ensure music is on at a low volume prior to the class start time
● Greet people as they come into the gym
● Communicate any Gym Announcements
● Start class on time
● Briefly summarize the work they will be doing today and how it will help them achieve
their goals
● During the warm up, connect with them personally
● Take at least 1 or 2 quality pictures in every class - following our Social Media guidelines
● Provide one on one coaching, equal in quality and quantity, to each member in the class.
● Until all members have completed the workout, all equipment should be left out and have
them focus on:
○ Mobility work
○ Cheering those on that need it.
○ Giving others their space to finish, that needs it.
● After everyone is complete, ensure each member cleans and disinfects their equipment.
Left out to dry or put away, as appropriate
● Use this time to point out their wins and write their scores on the board
● Use the remaining time to provide mobility work and / or stretching
● Remind members to log in SugarWOD and explain the importance of tracking their
progress

Administrative Tasks

● Write at least one blog post every two weeks. We will train you on our process for
determining content and structure for a blog post
● Notify cleaning staff of areas that need to be maintained
● Ensure you coordinate schedule change requests with the General Manager
● Offer ideas or suggestions on areas of improvement
● Attend and participate in coaches’ meetings
● Ensure you understand and can explain Northglenn Health and Fitness’ - Vision, Values,
Policies and Pricing

Intrapreneurial Program Delivery

What are your specialties? What are you passionate about helping people achieve? Can you
get to know our members and what the majority might be interested in pursuing?
We provide you with the training needed to develop and deliver programs that will benefit
current and potential members.

Preferred Qualifications:

● Ability to read body language and facial expressions
● Ability to provide empathy and put your personal biases aside
● Have an incredible social media presence that showcases your ability to help others
● CF L1 Certified or equivalent
● 1 Year of Personal Training experience
● 1 Year of Group Training experience
● Experience with programming for people with and without equipment
● Help First mindset
